Discover how Interchange’s collaborative residencies help students simultaneously embrace new art forms and classroom subjects.
All Interchange collaborative arts integration residencies use an arts medium to help students learn both the art form itself and the academic subject identified by their teacher.

Interchange Students Named Finalists in International Poetry Competitions
Nahili’s poem “Ethiopia” was a finalist in the 2014 Annual River of Words Youth Environmental Poetry and Art Awards, and the only winner from the state of Missouri. About 100 poems and artworks from both U.S. and international entries are selected as finalists each year. Nahili’s poem was written as part of an Interchange residency called Poetry Inside Out (PIO).
