Collaboration for a New, Innovative MFA in Dance

We’re thrilled to announce that COCA in collaboration with the Performing Arts Department (PAD) in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis will be launching a new Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in dance starting in the fall of 2016. It’s unique and innovative – and the only master’s degree of its kind offered in Missouri.

As part of the collaboration, the program will bring faculty and studio resources from both the PAD undergraduate dance program and our nationally recognized dance division, including our Co-Artistic Directors of Dance Antonio Douthit-Boyd and Kirven Douthit-Boyd.

“At COCA, 100 percent of our students who are enrolled in pre-professional programs advance into postsecondary schools or professional companies. This collaboration will provide another opportunity for our students to achieve a higher level of education, allowing them to gain additional access and exposure to the resources available at Washington University.” – Antonio Douthit-Boyd, Co-Artistic Director of Dance.

We look forward to sharing more details about this exciting new collaboration with Washington University.
