Event Description

This dance intensive will focus on the traditional ballet curriculum, including technique classes, pointe and men’s classes, as well as contemporary modern dance. Additional classes will diversify the training, with a concentration on choreography and repertoire.

This program is designed for students who have had extensive training with a minimum of two years of pointe work. Dancers will be placed into a track (High-Intermediate or Advanced) after a placement class on the first day. Ages 14-18.

HOW TO APPLY:
Dance students not currently studying at COCA should arrange a placement/audition class or email a link to a video demonstrating their current level of technique, including adagio, pirouettes, grand allegro and pointe work, to Antonio Douthit-Boyd, Co-Artistic Director of Dance, at adouthitboyd@cocastl.org. Dance students currently studying at COCA should have completed Ballet Intermediate 4 (Ages 14–18) or Intermediate 2 (Ages 11–13) prior to the dates of the intensive.
