I was born and raised in London, England where I began my dance training. I studied at Glenlyn Stage School, Italia Conti’s Stage School and Laban Center London. I continued my dance training in St. Louis studying with Stanley Herbert and Ron Hansford, and earned a B. F. A in Ballet from William Woods University. After dancing and teaching locally, I changed my direction to include teaching in the public schools. I returned to school and earned a B.S. ED in Special Education and five teaching certificates including a K-12 certificate in Dance Education. I taught for Ladue Schools and later moved onto Parkway Schools, where I was invited to start and dance program for Parkway Central Middle School. I wrote the curriculum and ran the middle school program for five years. While at PCMS I earned my M. S. in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, and my Special Reading Certificate K-12. For the past nine years, I have been a Reading Intervention Specialist for Parkway Central Middle School. I have been on staff as ballet teacher for COCA since 1998 and I always look forward to working for COCA.
