Katie Croghan began her dance training at Princeton Ballet School with Cheryl Whitney, Carol Bellis, and Sally Edwards. Upon moving to Michigan, she trained at The Flint School of Performing Arts and completed a year at the world renowned Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. Katie graduated cum laude from Butler University’s Dance Program in Indiana where she received a B.A. in Dance Pedagogy and high honors in dance. She danced with Portland Ballet Company in Maine before moving back to New Jersey in 2006. She spent a year dancing with the STEPS Repertory Ensemble in NYC and has danced in numerous works by Yesid Lopez, a former member of Ballet Hispanico. Katie was an influential member of the ballet faculty at Princeton Ballet School where she taught a wide array of classes from young children to the adult and professional level. In addition, Katie served as the Community Events Coordinator for Princeton Ballet School and rehearsal director for many educational outreach performances. Mrs. Croghan joined the ballet faculty at COCA in the spring of 2015, after relocating to Missouri with her husband, a St. Louis native. Katie is thrilled to be serving as Rehearsal Director for Ballet Eclectica this year.
