Sierra Mathews joined COCA’s Development Department in 2017 as the Development Fellow. In this role, she assists in both public and private grant activity and managing organizational data. Originally from St. Louis, Sierra is a recent graduate of Taylor University in Indiana where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Research, Statistics and Data Management. Her undergraduate research focused on developing and assessing teacher training programs aimed at increasing the critical thinking ability of students. Prior to entering as a staff member, Sierra volunteered at COCA for three years in multiple roles within COCAbiz and Development; held the position of executive research consultant for Taylor University’s Psychology department; and was elected as a student—faculty liaison for her undergraduate institution.
