Michael Moschen weekend is part of the first American Arts Experience-St. Louis.
October 1-17, 2010 -- the American Arts Experience-St. Louis will fill concert halls, museums, theaters, universities and outdoor spaces with performances and shows by renowned American artists and companies in disciplines ranging from symphonic music and jazz, theater by American playwrights, and dance by American companies, to major American visual artists.
Since the COCA Family Theatre Series was founded in 1990, the series has presented a wide range of theatre, music and dance offerings in an 8-month season of adventurous works from around the world.
COCA seeks sophisticated, thought-provoking professional productions that are as artistically rich as they are entertaining. From the inception of the series, tickets have been made affordable so that families from the entire St. Louis community can experience the joy and delight of live theatre. Five shows are offered over a three day weekend serving 2000 audience members in an effort to bring the series to as many people as possible in COCA’s intimate 400-seat theatre.
We believe that the COCA Family Theatre Series provides unique experiences that inspire all audience members to explore their imaginations and the world around them. With that as a philosophical foundation, we work for many months in search of performers who will bring something new, entertaining and educational to the COCA stage.
Finally, we believe that our theatre is a “learning lab” and our presentations combine unique artistic and learning experience that complements student development by using the performing arts as an educational resource. We hope that COCA performances will inspire students to continue to explore the arts and help foster creativity and a love of the arts.
