Digital Marketing Coordinator 

Reports to: Assistant Director of Marketing  

The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing COCA’s social channels, email marketing, as well as various digital marketing efforts. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will also manage COCA’s visual assets and provide website and design support, as needed.



· Spearhead digital strategic initiatives and collaborate with COCA’s various department leaders on schedule, content, and outreach for events and projects, ensuring that they are accurately and strategically presented in the digital space

· Execute email marketing efforts via Mailchimp with a mobile-first philosophy. Develop schedule and strategy for distribution.  Draft copy, build and send eblasts, maintain segmented contact database, and track and results and conversion rates

· Manage the strategy, creation, and execution of content across COCA’s social media channels – currently Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, and make recommendations on new channels, including paid strategy

· Coordinate with outside sources such as school partners, sponsors, faculty, and community partners to provide social media toolkits and content for partner promotion

· Cover all COCA events for social media channels and/or deputize COCA staff members to capture content for social channels

· Act as the point of contact with web designers and other outside digital vendors

· Stay abreast of digital trends, changes, and platforms to ensure COCA’s digital footprint is optimized and relevant

· Act as a liaison for institutional video needs including shooting footage and editing when necessary as well as file organization and dissemination


· Manage and maintain COCA’s visual assets, including photography and video content

· Provide design support as needed for both digital and print projects

· Support website maintenance and work with Communication Manager to align visual look and messaging

· Create promotional pre-show slides for performances for events both offsite and onsite

· When needed, assist with offsite marketing opportunities during evening and weekends


· Passion for COCA’s mission

· Knowledgeable about issues and trends facing the arts and arts education

· 2-3 years’ experience in communication, marketing, or a related field. Non-profit experience is desirable

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or other relevant field is preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and all common social media platforms; Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator; Knowledge of WordPress and HTML

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive, passionate communicator

· Ability to problem solve, manage projects, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced culture

· Self-motivated and detail-oriented with demonstrated organizational skills

· Ability to work effectively on a team and independently to see projects through to completion

Full-time position, requiring some evening and weekend hours, with competitive salary and benefits package.
