AGES 16 TO 18
This intensive takes a deeper dive into the process of designing and making garments. Based at the Saint Louis Fashion Incubator in downtown St. Louis, students build on the skill set learned in Intensive I. We spend more time working
on the process of design—sketching initial ideas and producing technical drawings. Thinking about proportions and details, stitch types and fastenings, we expand our design, pattern making, and sewing skills. At the end of the week, you have produced a mood board, a design range board, and a detailed prototype garment. You present your ideas to your fellow students and industry professionals as part of a critique. Throughout the week you learn more about careers in the fashion industry. Visit saintlouisfashionfund.org to learn more.
Interested Students should submit 3-5 JPEGS of their work and a statement of interest to Shawna Flanigan, Director of Arts Education & Program Development at firstname.lastname@example.org
Submissions must be received by May 17, 2019.
