Hope Ashley is an educator that trains emerging artists to achieve their potential and build critical skills in the visual arts.
For the past 5 years at COCA, Hope has helped young artists discover their inner storytellers and build confidence in their artistic abilities with her manga and comic classes. Her inclusive classroom community fosters student growth and artistic exploration.
Hope has worked in education for nearly a decade. She has taught English in Japan and the U.S. with an emphasis on literacy and narrative technique.
As an artist, her work has been featured in Space Oichi Gallery and the U.S. Congress congressional offices as a winner of the U.S. Congressional Art Competition.
Hope holds degrees in English Literature and Secondary Education from Drake University.
