Jennifer Theby Quinn
Jennifer Theby Quinn teaches Acting in the Theatre Department and Argentine Tango in the Cultural Dance Department.
Jen studied Theatre Performance at Saint Louis University and has been honored with the St. Louis Theatre Circle Award for her roles as Hope Cladwell in Urinetown at Stray Dog Theatre in 2012, Abigail Williams in Afflicted: Daughters of Salem at Metro Theatre Company in 2015, and was nominated for a Kevin Kline Award for her portrayal of Dorine in Tartuffe (Dorine) at Stray Dog Theatre in 2008. Jen has worked all over St. Louis and the surrounding region in such companies as the Shakespeare Festival – St. Louis, the Black Rep, the New Jewish Theatre, Mustardseed Theatre, Ozark Actors Theatre, and R-S Theatrics. Her special interests lie in dialect work and period styles.
Jen began studying Argentine Tango six years ago at COCA under Tal Stein and Mimi MacDonald-Sitterly. She has also studied with Mauro Peralta, Daniela Roig and Hernan Prieto. Jen has socially danced Argentine Tango nationally in New York, Chicago, Seattle and San Diego, and internationally in Siena, Italy, Paris, France, and Dublin, Ireland.
