Margaret Beaver Hassenstab joined COCA’s faculty after a move from Rhode Island, where her professional focus evolved into teaching and choreographing. After graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance, Hassenstab enjoyed a decade-long performing career in New York. She danced many seasons for Radio City’s Christmas Spectacular, for three seasons at the Metropolitan Opera and was a principal dancer at the Santa Fe Opera. Her theater credits include West Side Story at The MUNY, Evita at Tennessee Rep, and Beauty and the Beast at Ogunquit Playhouse. She was fortunate to also perform in Europe, South America and Asia. As a guest-teaching artist, Hassenstab was invited to teach in Montana, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Ohio.
