Sophie Grames

Sophie has been dancing for 20 years and teaching/assisting since 2005. She trained at Performing Arts Centre in St. Charles, studying ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, pointe, acrobatics, and tap. Sophie also acquired training through workshops and conventions such as JUMP!, Tap the Map, Break the Floor, TamJams, and Dance Masters of America.

Sophie was a UDA instructor for three years and is now on faculty at Performing Arts Centre and COCA. She won a 2015 UDA National Championship with the Lion Line Dance Team at Lindenwood, where she graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a minor in nutrition.

Sophie is currently earning a second bachelor’s at Saint Louis University in nutrition and dietetics, where she will graduate in May 2020. She then plans to pursue a master’s degree in dietetics and earn her registered dietitian credential, so she can work with athletes who are struggling with eating disorders. Sophie is a performer and founding member of moSTLy TAP, a professional tap company based in the St. Louis area.
