Summer is around the corner, and our Camps Team is preparing for 12 weeks of unforgettable, fun-filled arts-learning experiences at COCA Summer Arts Camps. We’re excited to introduce you to the talented team leading our summer arts camps at our University City location—Dr. Philip Woodmore and Alisa Cooper.

Dr. Philip Woodmore
Director of Camps & Artistic Director of Voice
This is Dr. Woodmore’s third summer overseeing COCA’s summer arts camps. Dr. Woodmore also serves as the Artistic Director of Voice here at COCA and oversees the Allegro Senior Vocal Company. Dr. Woodmore is an active member of the St. Louis music community and is a composer, music educator, choir director, and vocal coach for students nationwide.
“My favorite part of COCA camps is seeing the joy in campers’ eyes as they are creating new things and exploring the world of the arts…We are adding our First Musicals back into our camp offerings for this summer, and I’m excited to see Aladdin JR and Fame JR come to life with our campers!”

Alisa Cooper
Program Manager
Alisa has been part of COCA’s camp team since 2015. Her work from Teaching Assistant to Teaching Artist gives Alisa a unique perspective on what is going on inside and outside of the classroom. She hopes that all campers leave COCA feeling excited about the arts. She previously served as the Student Success Coordinator for our Pre-Professional Division. Alisa is also a COCA alum! She started dancing at COCA when she was ten years old and continues to participate in productions when she can.
“My favorite part of COCA camps is the energy that campers bring into the building every week…I’m most excited about all the new camp offerings for this summer!”
With this dynamic duo and their expertise and love of the arts, it is sure to be a summer of creativity like no other. We can’t wait to meet your campers!
