COCAcabana, COCA’s annual fundraiser, is a dynamic and creative spring event that draws more than 500 business and community leaders for cocktails and dinner, silent and live auctions, artistic performances, special celebrity guests, and imaginative themes that are uniquely COCA.

Started in 1988, COCAcabana sustains COCA’s work throughout the community, which provides arts programming in schools without access to arts education and offers scholarships for students to participate in COCA programs. Accounting for nearly 20 percent of COCA’s annual contributed revenue, COCAcabana is crucial to continuing this vital work.

Erin Moore is a versatile artist, working across genres and mediums. A graduate of Ailey/Fordham, she began her career as a concert dancer at Philadanco, performing modern and contemporary ballet repertory in the U.S. and abroad, followed by a transition to theatre and tv/film. Credits include HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, Netflix’s A Very Murray Christmas, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She was in the original Broadway casts of the revival of Follies, Tony awardwinning After Midnight, and Shuffle Along, choreographed by Savion Glover. Erin was in the company of Rigoletto at The Metropolitan Opera and a soloist with the San Francisco Symphony. She can be seen in the finale of Fosse/Verdon on FX, Tick, Tick… Boom! on Netflix, and on Great Performances, 50 years of Broadway on PBS.

Erin’s love for COCA is longstanding. Not only did her training at COCA give her a strong foundation in jazz and tap but the sense of community that was cultivated there is something that she has continued to model, even today. Building and nurturing community has buoyed Erin and is a large contributing factor to her career longevity of over 20 years in NYC.
