Students ages 10–18 are invited to audition for Ballet Eclectica, one of COCA’s Pre-Professional Division dance companies. Ballet Eclectica pulls from the best of classical and contemporary ballet to build a repertoire fit for our most talented ballet students. Members are selected based on their ability to demonstrate clean classical technique and strong pointe work.

Students auditioning for Ballet Eclectica on May 13 may also use this as their audition for COCA’s Fall Dance Concert, The Nutcracker (December 13–15, 2024). Students not interested in joining Ballet Eclectica, but interested in participating in The Nutcracker, may come May 13 as well. You will be able to designate your preference on the audition form.

Audition Details

Those attending auditions don’t need to prepare or bring anything, other than a water bottle. Each audition will be structured like a technique class, with all choreography taught within the audition.

Please refer to COCA’s ballet dress code for the auditions. Leotard color is up to you, but black is recommended. Those on pointe should bring pointe-shoes as well.
