Artistic Director’s Note

As I reflect on this semester, I am filled with gratitude for the work our young artists have done. The Joyful Winter Concert is a celebration of growth, joy of the season, and the power of community. In the Voice Department and the Allegro Vocal Company, our students have embraced discipline, creativity, and the courage it takes to share their gifts. What you will hear is the result of their willingness to learn, to collaborate, and to step fully into their artistry. 

Allegro continues to be a beautiful example of what happens when passion meets opportunity. These students honor their work with focus and heart. They listen deeply, support one another, and strive for excellence while exploring a wide range of musical styles. The Voice Department as a whole remains a place where students not only learn technique but also discover how to communicate truth through song.  

Joyful is the perfect title for this concert because joy is something we cultivate together. In a world that often feels heavy, these young people remind us of hope and connection. When they sing, they offer honesty and possibility. Their courage reminds us why the arts matter and why music continues to bring people together. 

Thank you for supporting these remarkable students and for believing in the mission of COCA. Your presence affirms the work we do and the dreams these young artists carry. It is an honor to share this Joyful moment with you.
