Costume Rental Policies

COSTUME RENTAL AGREEMENT

The rental of costumes is secured by the contract. Each rental requires a separate contract. COCA’s costume rentals are for rental purposes only and must be used by the organization or customer for whom the rental agreement is intended.

PAYMENT

The customer agrees to pay the rental fees and deposits upon execution of COCA’s Costume Rental Agreement. Accepted payment methods are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Paypal.

DEPOSITS

All rentals require a minimum 50% refundable security deposit (prices vary depending on cost of tutu). The standard security deposit is to be charged with the rental fee and will be credited back to credit card when the rental is returned complete (all items returned in same condition as rented out). A credit card must be on file in the event of damages and late returns.

ALTERATIONS

If costumes are altered to fit, they must be returned in their original condition. If a costume is returned altered or damaged, additional fees will be charged above security deposit.

Costumes may NOT be cut, dyed, painted, or embellished. Tape, iron-on bonding-web, glue or any other type of adhesives may NOT be used on costumes.

RENTAL FEES

All costume rentals are rented on a per item basis for the term and amount outlined in the rental contract. COCA’s costume rental minimum is $150. Per day rental is $25 per day, if less than one week. Monthly costume rentals are $450. 

SHIPPING

The customer is responsible for all shipping fees (receiving and returning). The average shipping fee is $50 but can be more depending on the rental and customer location. COCA’s Costume Rentals are shipped with USPS Express both ways.

LATE RETURNS

Costume rentals are expected to be returned to COCA no later than the rental return date outlined in the rental contract. If a costume is returned after the agreed upon date, the customer will be charged the daily rental rate for each day, until COCA receives the rental. 

REFUNDS

No refunds for rented costumes that are shipped but not used by the customer.

CLEANING

Costume cleaning will be handled by COCA.  The customer does not have permission to clean, dry clean, or spot clean costumes. All dancers should wear a flesh tone undergarment or trunks with any rental costume for sanitary reasons.

DAMAGED OR LOST COSTUME FEES

Normal wear and tear on costumes is expected and won’t incur extra charges. Damage beyond normal wear and tear will incur damage charges above the security deposit.

Damage charges will be assessed for broken zippers, detached garment pieces, make-up or other permanent stains or any other damage that renders the costume unrentable. It includes the cost of the supplies needed to restore the garment to its original state as well as labor costs. Major damage to costumes, including irreparable tears, or irreversible marks will be assessed at the replacement value of the costume. Lost costumes will be assessed with a lost costume fee of the replacement value of the costume.

I agree to sign a Credit Card Authorization form to complete the rental process with COCA. I understand this information will only to be used if damage/replacement charges above the security deposit are required and will be returned to me upon the return and approval of the rented costumes.

COCA is not responsible or liable to The Renter for personal injury or death to any person, or property damage arising out of or in connection with said items owned or leased by COCA. The Renter agrees to use the costumes or other items specified in this agreement at the Renter’s own risk.
