COCAedu Arts Integration

Is Creativity a Habit in Your Classroom?

COCAedu believes the arts are vitally important for educating students to be good thinkers. Integrating the arts in the classroom provides amazing opportunities for students to engage in the creative process and demonstrate understanding through an art form.

Each year, educators gather at the COCAedu Autumn Institute for Arts Integration. At the Autumn Institute, facilitators lead educators of all kinds through learning experiences that provide concrete strategies and best practices for integrating the arts.

In 2021–2022, we have doubled down on our commitment to making creativity a HABIT in every teaching/learning space. COCAedu will provide 3 hours of implementation support for every participant beyond the Autumn Institute! Through lesson planning, classroom coaching, or demo teaching, COCAedu will support the formation of a new habit.

  • We will tie into an existing habit…we will look at existing classroom habits and build on things that are already working
  • We will start small…we’ll focus on one strategy and build from there
  • We will make it easy…together, we will create a simple roadmap for success

Join us at the 2021 Autumn Institute for Arts Integration on Saturday, October 16 at Brittany Woods Middle School.
