Tierra Parks
Director of Community Programs
Tierra K. Parks, a proud native of St. Louis, is a dynamic multi-disciplinary creative whose work bridges the worlds of arts, media, and education. A graduate of the University of Missouri–St. Louis, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Media Studies, launching a successful career in broadcast media with Radio One St. Louis.
From 2013 to 2017, Tierra served as a producer for nationally syndicated programs including The Tom Joyner Morning Show and The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, helping deliver engaging content and impactful storytelling to audiences across the country.
Beyond radio, Tierra’s passion for performance and creative expression has led her to the stage, where she has held leading roles in several theatrical productions, including Lady in Red and St. Louis’ own presentation of Ntozake Shange’s acclaimed work For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Through every creative endeavor, Tierra remains committed to using the arts as a powerful tool for community engagement, empowerment, and education.
Currently, Tierra serves as the Director of Community Programs at COCA, where she continues to make an impact through innovative community programming and business development collaborations for arts learning and arts integration for COCAedu/COCAbiz. Formerly returning to the airwaves with Audacy 2023–2026, Tierra hosted the Weekend Tee Party on 96.3 R&B, where she connected with listeners through her signature warmth, authenticity, and hometown spirit. While she is no longer on-air, she remains a valued member of the Audacy team, continuing to support the organization while focusing on her leadership in arts education and community engagement.
Additionally, she is a proud Docent for 4TheVille, a cultural heritage development organization committed to preserving and celebrating the rich legacy of The Ville in North St. Louis and a Tour Guide for Missouri Historical Society. Tierra also serves on the Board of Directors for the Good Journey Development Foundation, an organization that empowers youth through community engagement, skill-building, and leadership opportunities.
