Session Details

Leading Ladies features several of COCA’s talented female teaching artists in a variety of unique and informative sessions:

SESSION ONE | There Is No “I” in Ensemble | COCAOur exciting kick-off session is dedicated to building meaningful connections through inspired communication, innovative collaboration, and authentic empathy. Using tenets from the art forms of Improvisation and Design Thinking, this delicious experience is sure to break the ice (and some bread!).

SESSION TWO | Rising Action | ZoomHaving to initiate difficult conversations, give feedback, and take disciplinary actions can be uncomfortable for some leaders. In this virtual session, we will borrow an assessment tool from the arts called “See, Think, Wonder.” Utilizing this process, we will encourage leaders to learn how to call someone in, instead of calling them out. SESSION THREE | Art Mirrors Life | COCAThis reflective session will help us dig deeper into our inner wisdom to explore our core values, intentions, and strengths to nurture relationships and find balance in our lives. Activities from the worlds of Visual Arts and Music will help ignite our imaginations and let our spirits soar.

SESSION FOUR | Drawing the Line | ZOOMBuilding on the previous session, our time together will be spent identifying what it takes to find the elusive work/life balance. An exploration of values and priorities will hopefully lead to insight and action. “Yes, And…” is a wonderful tool, but sometimes it’s okay to say no!

SESSION FIVE | Step Into the Spotlight and Empower the Character of Your Best Self | COCAThis fun and physical session engages us to embrace our greatest potential, with activities to build a solid mind-body connection with confidence and leadership presence. Drawing from the Actor and Dancer’s toolkit, we explode with charisma and magnetism, as we embody the Leading Lady we are meant to be.
